Rupe Investment Corporation
Rupe Investment Corporation (RIC) traces its roots back to the 1930s, when it was founded as a partnership under the name Dallas Rupe & Son (DR&S). Established initially as an investment banking and stock brokerage firm, DR&S quickly grew to prominence, becoming the largest NYSE-licensed brokerage firm headquartered in Dallas, Texas.
In 1940, Mr. Rupe formally incorporated the business, setting the foundation for future growth. Known for his keen business acumen and entreprenurial foresight, Mr. Rupe expanded DR&S by aquiring a diverse portfolio of operating business, transforming the firm into a multifaceted investment platform.
During the mid-1950s, the original stock brokerage operations were spun off into a newly formed corporation named Dallas Rupe & Son. This entity carried forward the brokerage legacy until 1986, when it was renamed to reflect its broader investment mission, becoming Rupe Investment Corporation once again.
Since then, RIC has served as the family’s principal investment holding company and remains a legacy institution dedicated to disciplined investing, diversified holdins, and generational stewardship.
